Sandro Miller

Self-described, photographer, director, Nikon ambassador, father, husband, and lover of all people, Sandro, was first mesmerized by the striking portrait imagery of Irving Penn in his early teens.

He began photographing at the age of sixteen and has since devoted his career to creating powerfully expressive and diverse portraits of humanity from his elegant studio on Chicago’s west side.

At Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France, in July 2011, Sandro was awarded the Saatchi and Saatchi Best New Director award For his short Film “Butterflies” featuring John Malkovich.

In two consecutive years 2014 and 2015 Sandro was award the IPA Lucie Award for The International Photographer of the Year.

In 2001 Sandro was invited by the Cuban Government to photograph that countries greatest national treasure-its athletes. This project was the first US-Cuban collaboration since the diplomatic and trade embargo was imposed in 1960. Sandro’s editorial and commercial clients include The New Yorker, Stern, Time, Vibe, ESPN Magazine, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, The New Yorker, Forbes, GQ, Esquire, Coca-Cola. Nike, Adidas, BMW, Anheuser –Busch, Gatorade, US Army to name just a few. His art exhibitions have been exhibited worldwide.

Throughout his career, Sandro has contributed his time and talents to numerous community-based and national charitable organizations by creating compelling campaigns for AIDS Chicago, AIDS New Jersey, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Arts for Life, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Milwaukee, Dance for Life, Evans Life Foundation, Food Depository of Chicago, The Good City, Marwen Foundation, The Maestro Cares Foundation and Off The Street Club.

Today Sandro, a two-time cancer survivor and his wife Claude-Aline Nazaire Miller spend much of their time together helping others achieve their dreams. Whether it is teaching, lecturing or being part of a charity or foundation, their goal is to make this world a better place for all of to live.
