10% to give $10 million.
Proud is a for-profit, community-centric company with the core commitment to generously give back and support social causes we believe in. We are committed to giving 10% of gross sales (pre-tax) directly to a select set of (rotating) non-profit partners. Our goal is to give ten million dollars in the next five years.
The foundation for a better world starts with what makes us Proud. The five points of the Proud star represent the social causes we support. Proud believes in the goodness of humanity— its diversity, its uniqueness, its decency. Each of these social causes bring out the best in our shared humanity and unite us in doing good for others.
Proud believes in the power of ‘family’. No matter if it’s our biological family or our closest circle of friends–family–is where we are accepted and appreciated, seen and valued, loved and cared for (even if we don’t always agree). Family is where we learn about the most important things in life—love, respect, friendship, honesty, kindness, courage, equality, integrity, responsibility, and altruism. Arguably, the most important job each of us will ever have—whether you’re a mom, dad, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, or grandparent—is supporting, protecting, and loving your family. And, though no family is perfect, Proud believes that strengthening families and helping to improve the lives of mothers, fathers and children in need, isn’t just an important thing, it’s everything.
Proud sees ‘education’ as the doorway through which dreams are attainable for everyone—no matter where you come from. Education provides us with knowledge about the world. It paves the way for a fulfilling career. It helps build character. It lays the foundation for a stronger nation and a better world. The truth is that each of us has something we're good at. Each of us has something to offer. Discovering what that something is, is the life-changing opportunity an education can provide. Young or old, the process of discovering what's within us never ends. Proud is passionate about creating opportunities for people who think education is out of reach. Education is a forever-investment.
We believe that every person on Earth deserves clean air, fresh water, abundant food, a stable climate, and access to the breathtaking beauty that nature offers across every stretch of our amazing planet. Taking responsibility for the enormous pressure we are putting on the natural world and protecting Earth’s magnificent wildlife and wild places, is fundamental to making our world a better place—now and for future generations. We are in awe of the courage, scientific rigor, physical stamina, and relentless determination required to keep our oceans, forests, and cities safe, beautiful and protected.
Proud is all about community. Community unites us. Creating a sense camaraderie and shared values have never been more important to our (society’s) well-being. From support for our veteran’s, to beloved team sports, to local boys & girls clubs, to food banks, and neighbors helping neighbors everywhere—being a part of a community make us feel like we are a part of something greater than ourselves. Strong communities give us the opportunity to bring people together, identify common goals, and make us (all) feel welcome and secure.
Proud believes that a healthy body and mind are essential to leading a truly successful life. And, that health is a fundamental right of every human being without distinction of race, religion, political belief, economic or social condition. We are united in our desire to make continual progress with our health, especially for our children and people suffering from diseases where research has the potential to be transformative. Without health—literally—no one can live, much less live with dignity.
